Indiana Team Named Finalists in ULI’s Hines Competition

An Indiana team was named one of four finalists, along with teams from Harvard, Yale, and Kansas, in ULI’s Gerald D. Hines Student Urban Design Competition. The Indiana team includes Ball State CAP:IC  Master of Urban Design students Jourdan Feick and Shruti Khandelwal, Ball State CAP Master of Architecture students Lucas Holwerda and Aaron Nordstrom, and Purdue student Cristina Arauco Escobar.  The team was led by Associate Professor Bruce Race.  Tina Jones served as a professional mentor. Housing Needs Assessment underway for Hamilton County

As the second largest county in the Indianapolis MSA (after Marion County), Hamilton County is home to a significant concentration of the population in our region.  A project currently underway will identify the County’s housing needs and develop a coordinated plan for the future. The housing needs assessment is being led by Hamilton County Area Neighborhood Development (HAND), with assistance from the Indiana Association for Community and Economic Development (IACED).  To help provide expertise for the study, HAND has formed a task force of over 25 local partners, including ULI Indiana. Propose a Session for the 2013 Fall Meeting in Chicago

ULI’s next Fall Meeting will be held Nov. 5 to 8 in Chicago, and proposals are now being accepted for concurrent sessions and presentations. Do you have an idea for an engaging presentation or a case study to share with the ULI community? Submit your proposal online.  Proposals are due by February 22.

Forty Under 40 Promote Ideas to Combat “Brain Drain”
