Video explains proposed Central Indiana transit system

IndyConnect has made a four-minute video that explains the proposed multimodal transit system for Central Indiana.  Entitled “What is the Plan?”, the video explains in graphics and words the key elements of the plan.  It also address why there is a plan – to enhance economic development, provide better access to jobs, and help retain the region’s young people. Kingsbury to jury ULI’s Global Awards for Excellence

ULI has named Jeff Kingsbury, ULI Indiana Advisory Board member, to its Global Awards for Excellence jury.  Since 1979, ULI has honored outstanding development projects with their Global Awards for Excellence program.  The program is widely recognized as the most prestigious award in the development community.  Members of the jury are selected internationally and serve for three years.  Kingsbury is the first from Indiana to be selected for the jury. Mentor group enjoys tour from Milhaus

ULI Indiana’s first annual Mentor class is in full swing.  The group recently was hosted to a luncheon roundtable and project tour by ULI Indiana sponsor Milhaus. Member David Leazenby talked about Milhaus, how the business has grown, strategies for the future, and the data the company relies on to make decisions. Milhaus’ Greg Martin talked about the unique construction and design issues that come up in re-use projects. Alexander Redux

ULI members and friends enjoyed an evening at the Alexander hotel on Wednesday, March 6, 2013.  The event included a networking reception and a short presentation from member Scott Travis of Buckingham Companies, developer of the Alexander and the CityWay project where the hotel is located.  Travis then led a tour focusing on the hotel’s collection of original art, curated by the IMA.  Buckingham, led by longtime ULI Member Brad Chambers, drove the decision to use art to distinguish the hotel and enhance its market position.
