William (Bill) A. Browne, Jr., FAIA, LEED AP
President and Founding principal, RATIO Architects, Inc.
Since establishing RATIO more than 30 years ago, Bill has focused his career on advancing both the quality of design and delivery of professional services. He has led the expansion of RATIO, which has studios in Indianapolis, Chicago, Raleigh, and Champaign and projects in Korea and China. Bill currently serves on the White River State Park Commission, the Indiana State Museum Foundation, and the Indianapolis Historic Preservation Commission. Bill is also involved the Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee, the American Institute of Architects, and Indiana Landmarks. Bill received his bachelor of science in architecture from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and his master of arts in architecture from the University of Florida.

Daren Kingi
Senior Vice President of Sales, Visit Indy
Daren joined Visit Indy in 2014 after a distinguished 29-year career in the hospitality industry with Hilton Hotels and Marriott International, most recently serving as vice president of sales, Western Mountain Pacific Area, for Marriott International. In that role, he was responsible for overall sales and market share growth of 65 of Marriott’s Managed hotels in five major markets including San Francisco, Denver, Salt Lake City, Portland, and Seattle. Prior to that Daren served as vice president of sales & marketing for Renaissance Hotels North America and market sales leader for Marriott’s New York City hotels. In his short time with Visit Indy, Daren has led the team to record-breaking results.

Greg Schahet
President and Chief Financial Officer
Schahet Hotels
Greg Schahet joined Schahet Hotels in 2001 and was named president and CFO in 2013. During his time at Schahet Hotels, Greg has been actively involved in the development and financing of several new hotels and the renovation and repositioning of major hotels. He also oversees refinancing for existing hotels and worked with his team to sell hotels to redeploy capital and position the company’s portfolio for future success. A Certified Public Accountant and certified real estate principal in Indiana, Greg has a bachelor of science from Cornell University School of Hotel Administration and an MBA from American University. Greg is active in the hotel community, conducting admissions interviews for Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, and he has served on various committees for the IHG Owners Association.

Michael W. Wells
President, REI Investments, Inc.
Over the past 30 years, Michael Wells has been involved in several significant real estate projects including the JW Marriott Hotel, Marriott Place, and the Indianapolis Marriott Hotel. In addition to his development activities, he manages the real estate investments owned by REI Real Estate Partnership. Michael graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Indiana University and received a B.S. from Purdue University in Interdisciplinary Engineering.  Community activities include serving as a Board member of the Purdue Research Foundation, Indianapolis Zoo, Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Indiana Chamber Foundation, Robert H. McKinney School of Law Board of Visitors, Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee, Indiana Chamber Foundation and Crossroads Council of the Boy Scouts of America.  

Catherine Esselman
Senior Project Manager, Develop Indy
Catherine Esselman serves as a Senior Project Manager at Develop Indy, focusing on 1stfloor commercial/retail space in key corridors in Indianapolis. Previously, she was Director of Real Estate for Downtown Indy, Inc. She also is on the board of Southeast Community Services, LISC Indianapolis and Project Purse Indianapolis. She is currently working on the second season of Start up 317. During the month of May, currently vacant and underutilized storefronts and windows will be activated with over 20 different artists and retailers throughout Downtown. Make plans to join her at the launch party May 15 at the new comedy club, Helium.
