ULI Indiana - On Location - Frederick Douglass Park
Join us for an OnLocation at the newly opened Frederick Douglass Park Family Center, the largest family center in the Indy parks system!
With an investment of $23 million, Frederick Douglass Park Family Center is revitalizing the energy on Indy's Northeast side and setting a new standard for Indianapolis parks. Originally a segregated park, its transformation into the city's largest Indy Parks facility now symbolizes unity and hope for our community.
Situated in the Martindale-Brightwood neighborhood, identified as a low-opportunity area across various metrics including living conditions, education, health, environment, and socioeconomics, this 48,000-square-foot facility is a cornerstone of the community. It features expansive amenities such as a playground nestled among old growth trees and a pool, making it a comprehensive destination for families.
Join us to explore how this facility is serving the community and contributing to the city's broader vision for its parks.
