Housing Needs Assessment underway for Hamilton County

As the second largest county in the Indianapolis MSA (after Marion County), Hamilton County is home to a significant concentration of the population in our region.  A project currently underway will identify the County’s housing needs and develop a coordinated plan for the future.

The housing needs assessment is being led by Hamilton County Area Neighborhood Development (HAND), with assistance from the Indiana Association for Community and Economic Development (IACED).  To help provide expertise for the study, HAND has formed a task force of over 25 local partners, including ULI Indiana.

The project is currently in the data gathering stage.  If you live or work in Hamilton County, please consider taking one of the following surveys:

Resident Survey

Stakeholder Survey

Public workshops to discuss potential strategies will be held later this Spring.
