Seasoned Pros and Young Leaders: Sign up for the 2018 ULI Indiana Mentorship Program

Enrollment is now open for ULI Indiana’s 2018 Mentorship Program, a low-commitment but high-impact way to make a difference in the real estate community.

Mentors and mentees meet quarterly over lunch or coffee between March and November 2018. Sign up as a Seasoned Pro or a Young Leader here by Friday, Feb. 23, and we’ll match you with a new person to meet with each quarter.

You must be a ULI member to participate. Join today!

Mentors help increase the value of the ULI Indiana community by investing in young professionals, and mentees benefit from personal interaction with an experienced real estate professional. Many participants have maintained and fostered mutually beneficial relationships with their mentors and mentees outside of the initial pairing.

NEW THIS YEAR: Mentorship Program participants get exclusive invitations to “fireside chats” with speakers after selected ULI Indiana programs.

Feedback from Mentorship Program Participants

“It gives me quality time with an individual I either wouldn’t have access to or someone I would typically consider outside my field. It allows an introduction that can turn into a symbiotic relationship. I walk away a little more intelligent about the big picture and other players involved, which helps me better understand my personal responsibilities.”
– RJ French, Construction Consulting Engineer, First Construction Consulting, Inc. – Participant since 2014

“Being involved in the mentorship program has given me the opportunity to meet a number of people across product types and sectors I would have never run across otherwise, creating relationships that have been mutually beneficial as we have grown our business.”
– Tadd M. Miller, CEO, Milhaus – Participant since 2014

“I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to meet ‘Seasoned Professionals’ I would have otherwise not met. The diversity of real estate professionals involved with ULI has been helpful as well. I’ve met with brokers, attorneys and accountants. It’s been helpful to get a variety of perspectives within the industry and see what it takes to be successful.”
– Erik Wojak, Development Director, Thompson Thrift – Participant since 2017

“Mentoring is hugely important, even if just to provide a sounding board. I’ve had some great mentors in my career and still do. Mentoring provides insight into different approaches to business, how to handle awkward situations, or networking guidance. It’s a minimal amount of time invested and can net so many rewards. I’m happy to say that some of my matchings have resulted in good friendships as well.”
– Angie Wethington, Director, Scannell Properties – Participant since 2017

“It’s been very rewarding.  I enjoy participating because it gives me an opportunity to grow my professional network while handing down a few pearls that have been given to me by trusted advisors over the years.”
– Shawn Bullock, SVP Commercial Real Estate Division, Associated Bank – Participant since 2016
