ULI Indiana director participates in Community Mentors Summit in Martinsville

Frankfort Mayor Chris McBarnes

ULI Indiana’s director, Jennifer Milliken, recently participated in a Community Mentors Summit in Martinsville. Held by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis, the event sparked dialogue on community development strategies specific to the Martinsville area. In addition to ULI Indiana, participants included representatives from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs and Prosperity Indiana, as well as Frankfort Mayor Chris McBarnes.

Jennifer presented information about ULI and how the Indiana district council can help with community development, from our Technical Assistance Panels to the Urban Plan program. In addition, Jennifer facilitated a roundtable about how to best leverage the I-69 expansion.

“Martinsville Mayor Shannon Kohl is involved in ULI Indiana’s Central Indiana Council of Elected Officials, so it was fun to visit her community, share ideas, and learn more about Martinsville’s rich history,” Jennifer said.
