In December 2020, ULI Indiana’s popular annual Real Estate Trends event was reimagined into a virtual and regional event. ULI Indiana teamed with ULI Kansas City, ULI Michigan, and ULI Pittsburgh to learn and discuss what’s next in real estate, the economy, and technology. All three sessions will be available to ULI members to view on-demand at Knowledgefinder.

December 1, 11am-12:30pm | Emerging Trends in Real Estate
The event kicked off with an Emerging Trends in Real Estate keynote presented by Andy Warren, Director Real Estate Research, PwC, followed by a Regional Response Panel with speakers from each district council (Tadd Miller, Co-founder & CEO, Milhaus, represented Indiana). To wrap up, attendees joined breakout rooms to hear local thought leaders connect emerging trends to issues in their communities. ULI Indiana’s panel featured moderator Katie Culp, President, KSM Location Advisors, with Sherry Siewert, Downtown Indy and Carrie Thrift LaFay, Thompson Thrift.
December 8, 12-1:30pm | Moderated Capital Markets + Recovery
In light of COVID-19, many have described our U.S. economy as facing a K-shaped recovery, with winners and losers. The second program explored these dynamics with a keynote presentation by Gus Faucher, Chief Economist, PNC, followed by a second Regional Response Panel representing a cross section of the issues. Indiana was represented by Leonard Hoops, President & CEO, Visit Indy.
December 15, 12-1:30pm | Moderated Property Technology + Future of Real Estate
What’s next in real estate and technology? Our third session addressed how advancements in technology are enhancing and disrupting real estate processes and practices. The keynote was delivered by Constance Freedman, Moderne Ventures (Chicago), followed by another Regional Response Panel. Indiana was represented by Angie Wethington, Director, Scannell Properties.
